Blossoms primary mission is to provide an inclusive, quality program within the community that will educate and enhance the child’s skills focusing on the sense of belonging, wellbeing, problem solving, creative thinking and being innovative through engagement as well as a language rich environment allowing opportunities for expression.

Learning through play is the heart of Blossoms. Play within a balanced quality program entitling individualization and immediacy for every child, with special emphasis on self-concept, socialization, intellectual development, physical and emotional development, as well as family involvement and accountability being important factors.

Providing safe child care in a quality age-stage developmental program, with nurturing Early Childhood Educators, who consider special needs of each child and their parents first.

Program Objectives:
Every child should feel that they belong and deserve the opportunity to succeed. Blossoms program builds on each child’s strengths and abilities focusing on sense of belonging, wellbeing, problem solving, creative thinking and being innovative through engagement as well as a language rich environment allowing for opportunities for expression. No child will be denied the opportunity to reach their fullest potential.

Families should feel like they belong and have the ability to contribute to their children’s learning. Blossoms encourages the family to enter in collaboration with the teachers/staff. Parents can provide unique and insightful understanding of their children’s behaviour which teachers can incorporate into their program planning. Blossoms also provides resources to the families and daily contact and effective communication through HiMama.

Staff bring diverse, social and cultural perspectives and work collaboratively with others to create an engaging environment. The staff possess effective communication and interpersonal skills relating to both adults and children allowing each child to reach to their fullest potential. They have developed skills in observation, planning and evaluating. The teachers observe the children and develop a program which fosters both individual and group learning.

The director and supervisor promotes and represents Blossoms. They know all of the families. Interactions between staff and families are supported and guided by them. They also set standards for the centre and offer support .
